AIGA Remembers Senator John McCain

With decades of tireless service, Senator John McCain demonstrated the traits of commitment, honor and integrity while putting others before himself. His advocacy for issues impacting Indian Country is compared to none.

Senator McCain co-authored the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act of 1988. However, his efforts weren’t focused only on gaming. He believed in and respected the Tribes’ sovereign authority with Indian self-determination and self-governance. The Arizona Indian Gaming Association sends our prayers to the family of Senator John McCain. His legacy with Indian Country and others will be long remembered.
